James Bouldin
Founder & CEO
James Bouldin, the founder of US Power Supply, was named chief executive officer in 2024. He leads US Power Supply in serving residential and commercial customers across three states. He is a respected thought leader and advocate for the future of energy - from national energy policy to overall customer experience. Prior to his current position, Bouldin served for 8 years as co-founder and CEO of a renewable energy focused customer service marketing company. Under Bouldin’s leadership, his company soared to award-winning heights in customer service, client retention, and quality control. In addition, the company expanded its services to handle ESCO customer service across five states. Bouldin’s 15 year career in energy began in 2009 as an energy broker. Within a year he transitioned into a managerial role. Now, Bouldin manages a portfolio of over 100,000.
Mark Mortensen
President
Mark Mortensen was named president of US Power Supply in 2024. Mortensen maintains over 23 years of experience within the energy industry. He has managed power plants, traded power physically and financially, and provided load service to an array of utilities. Notably, Mortensen has also acted as director of ERCOT trading and worked as a part of their business development team.
KJ Coghlan
Vice President of Operations
KJ Coghlan was named the vice president of operations for US Power Supply in 2024. Prior to his current position, Coghlan served for 27 years at Rainbow Energy Marketing Corporation. His experience has fostered in him an extensive understanding of the power grid throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Over the years, Coghlan has successfully traded numerous physical, financial, and virtual products throughout the MISO, PJM, SPP, and ERCOT power pools. Coghlan currently serves on the board of directors for United Energy Corporation, Rainbow Energy Marketing Corporation, and United Energy Trading.
Jared Dech
Chief Operating Officer
Jared Dech was named the chief operating officer of US Power Supply in 2024. Dech’s 10 year career in energy began in 2014 when he joined a retail energy supplier as a broker. Prior to his current position, Dech served for eight years as president of a marketing and customer service company that focused on retail energy providers. In this role, he collaborated with an array of suppliers, handled brokering, launched large-scale business-to-business marketing campaigns, and offered customer service solutions. In addition, he managed customer service for a portfolio of over 100,000 customers, led mass market enrollments, and oversaw pricing strategies.
John Cunningham
Chief Data Officer
John Cunningham was named the chief data officer of US Power Supply in 2024. Cunningham started in the retail energy market as a supervisor at a retail supplier in 2013. Three years later, he left that retail supplier to form a marketing and customer service entity designed to be a front office for retail energy providers. His company worked with several suppliers doing brokering, business-to-business and residential mass marketing, as well as providing customer service. John and two partners formed another company with a retail natural gas entity designed to directly service retail choice customers. There John acted as COO and oversaw customer service for a retail book of over 100,000 customers, mass market enrollments, managed pricing, and directed response of customer inquiries.
